“Oh my glory,” is a positive replacement phrase I have used since my youth because I do not believe in taking the Lord’s name in vain. Over the years this phrase became something I was known for. I typically use it for all emotions, but especially when I’m excited! This phrase has now become my little space online. I’m excited to share positive parenting and preschool ideas with you. Below is a little more about me, and why I choose the positive replacement phrase, “Oh my glory!”
I am a believer.
I believe in God, that He is our loving Heavenly Father. I also believe in His son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was testified of thousands of years before He came; His birth, His life, His death, and His resurrection. Now, thousands of years later He continues to be testified of.
I believe the commandments were given of God for the benefit of mankind. They are not outdated, but are still applicable today. The seventh commandment states, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” Exodus 20:7
I have a testimony of our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I never want to take their names in vain, but only speak their names when I am truly honoring them.
